Hey, I hope you will feel inspired by these visions. I used to have an intense need to be the center of attention style-wise, but spending time round this crowd has made me an awed observer. Michael Arenella’s Jazz Age Lawn Party on Governor’s Island is getting bigger every year, but at the core are a group of creative dressers who have immersed themselves in 1920s styling, dance and playful joie de vivre. It’s pretty much my favorite event of the summer. It’s romance. Warning: this may take a few posts!
