I Spy with My Blind Eye!

My eyesight is about as good as David Bowie's on a good day during the Seventies.(Did he have any?) Sometimes I might as well have two glass eyes in my head, or even one. With very short-sighted vision I am only able to see with contact lenses or spectacles. Unfortunate, some might say, but definitely not me. I LOVE glasses! I really prefer them to wearing contact lenses and love...

Stud me up!

What is it about studs? They are just brilliant. They work with nearly everything and bring out the best in most lifeless pieces of drab. Studs, those lovely little metal pieces of round glory, are too good to be true. Whether it is on your jacket lapel or your worn out converse boots, they are so easy to fix onto things and immediately add a bit of rock glam.
Those heavenly... -
Heading to Paris for the holidays….?
14th December 2009 | 0 comments | 0 votes yet, click here to agree or disagree
A recent trip to Paris brought on an overhaul of chocolat-chaud, baguettes, crowded pavements, vin rouge, mille-feuille, macaroons and of course lots of shopping. As much as I adore London, Paris is such a beautiful and vibrant city filled with lots of exciting boutiques. Having lived there in the past, my recent trip was a real test for my memory to find those wondorous hidden 'magasins' again. Sadly for my...

I've got a real thing about nails at the moment. Nicely, perfectly, primly polished nails are really getting me this Winter. I have become obsessed with keeping my claws in good condition and have a a vast and expanding collection of rouges, plums and pinks. If I don't have time to carefully paint on my flavour of the month - Essie's Wicked - I can always rely on a couple...

J’adore Anish Kapoor…. and the wonderful ‘friend’ I found at the Royal Academy
20th November 2009 | 2 comments | 1 person likes this
So yesterday I went off to the Royal Academy with the BF as I have been desperate to see the Anish Kapoor and above anything feel I have been lacking in London's magnificent artistic culture recently. I love the beautiful RA building that lies behind those wrought-iron gates on Piccadilly and had recently forgotten just what a special place it is. In the ticket queue I was approached by an...

Beautiful friendship bracelets from Bex Rox

Well we are definitely into Winter now. The weather is grey and rainy (I have been caught without an umbrella enough times already this week) and everyone is rushing around the streets of London clad in thick tights, big black coats, boots and umbrellas. I have to say the biggest change I always notice when the season's turn is the change in colour of people's wardrobes - summer always bright...

Chanel’s new Jade nail varnish does not make me green with envy

As fetishes go, I have a real thing about nails. Fingernails. Toenails. You name it. I like them painted all year round in pearly, shiny hues. An immaculate manicure is just to die for. Top of my list of pick-me-ups. Favourites in my ever-growing collection include Essie's Wicked, a rich plum colour perfect for toes and brilliant in Winter. And my new shade du jour, Chanel's Enthusiast, which I couldn't...

Oooh the excitement! H&M announce their next designer collaboration with none other than Paris based designer Sonia Rykiel. Following in the footsteps of Matthew Willimason, Jimmy Choo and Comme Des Garcons (just to name a few) Rykiel will be transporting her unique shapes, styles and stripes onto the mannequins of this high-street fave.
And to add to the joy of this, the first collection from the designer will be in the...
