I have been screaming at builders for a week  at my new house in Cheyne Walk and not one job seems to ever finish.  I  could go totally mad except luckily the view of the boats from my bedroom window keeps me sane. Last week a rat jumped over me whilst I was lying in bed in the middle of the night, you can imagine the drama.  I have spent the last few days catching mice and have managed to get 24, so I am inundated.  My architects clearly thought I was a man.  Everything was masculine and the wrong height, wrong fittings, no light for makeup and freezing cold decoration.  I require so little, I like real coffee, hot baths and light for make up.  The good news is though I am on my way to paradise. No I am not dying, only the good die young.

I managed to get  to the premiere of Harry Potter with Nicky Haslam, it sort of matched my week with the builders.  We had so much fun, both of us had no idea what to expect but thought we should educate ourselves on this successful series. A little magic here and there does no harm,  and the music by Alexandre Desplat was incredible and the sets too.  We then went to The Freemasons’ Hall in Covent Gardens, an impressive Art Deco building, hiding secrets to outsiders. I was rather surprised it was open to the public.  I tried to enter many times, and it was impossible.

That was my week and now I am lying down trying catch up with all of you.
