Owner of the art-file gallery, Alison Honour is an old hand at the Affordable Art Fair and has exhibited successfully for the past five years.
As proprietor of her own gallery, Honour should know a thing or two about how to go about buying art.
‘You should always love what you buy and buy what you love.’
Aside from the obvious, if you’re looking to art as an investment, Honour advises to follow trends. ‘Research what has gone on before and what’s going to happen in front’.
In her personal experience, she is seeing a surge for the 80s, ‘I think we have buyers that lived the 80s and are now hankering after a little bit of their past’.
So punk is now.
